Attacking big shops with AI

Amazon, Nordstrom, Saks, Asos, Zalando – beware. Your greatest strength is also your biggest weakness. While you have an insane amount of products, you also have a huge problem of stock overload — making it extremely hard for relevant products to break through all noise. In the end, there's huge cart abandonment rates.

I was asked by Samsøe and Samsøe to help create an eCommerce flagship store with curated fashion staples: clothing that customers actually want. Central to the customer experience is making serendipity fun and accurate. By using intelligent product recommendations combined with human-curated selections, we could offer the best fashion has to offer without losing the conversion war.

The design is using white space, crisp typography and a muted color palette. The layout is energetic and gives a sense of motion, making scrolling and finding products, very natural.
